Street signs adorn the streets in our neighbourhoods. Some of them are terrestrial, others are attached to buildings. I like them. A kind of functional art in the neighbourhood. Where I know my way around, I don't really need them, I know the street names and squares and alleys by heart, so the street signs are obsolete for me. But not for someone who is not familiar with the area. He or she depends on this helpful orientation. And that's how it is for us within our cultures: we know what's proper and what's not, what's better to do and what's better not to do. We don't have to talk about it or have it in writing in front of us. But when we come to another culture, it can be helpful to read about what is valid there and what is not. It has to do with consideration and respect to follow this. This also applies to the details of interaction in our smaller social structures.
I wish you an extraordinary day!
