Telegraph

I imagine that back then, when the telegraph was invented and it needed lines across the country and lots of masts had to be erected, that not everyone liked this - analogous to the debate today about wind turbines. Certainly, the situation back then is not comparable to today - we are under a certain pressure to produce the energy we need, which was not the case with the telegraph. But: the telegraph is not that old - and today all masts could be dismantled because we have better technologies. We are all beneficiaries of electric energy - but nobody wants to live near the production of it. It doesn't add up. I realize that sometimes we have very strange ideas about our needs and their costs. Our lifestyle, which we have become fond of, requires a lot of effort and costs a lot - are we aware of that? Are we grateful for it? Or are we even willing to do without sometimes? Maybe today is a day to think about how you can consume more consciously and gratefully - and maybe even less.I wish you an extraordinary day!
