I find it interesting that when it comes to the end of the world and the transition to eternity, Jesus uses very concise comparisons. He speaks almost exclusively in parables and metaphors and comparisons in his discourses. And he compares the time in eternity to a magnificent, lavish wedding feast. However, he compares the transition there to a night-time burglary by a thief, and he and the apostle Paul after him warn and admonish us to be vigilant. The almost absurd question is posed as to whether a householder would not be awake and intercept the perpetrator if he knew that he was coming to rob him. Logically, he would. And by this Jesus means that it is just as logical that we should be prepared and vigilant when it comes to being aware that Jesus is coming again and will then put an end to this age and begin the new one for us. Prepared for eternity. A statement worth thinking about in depth.
I wish you an extraordinary day!
