Some terms from other languages have become established in our linguistic usage and we hardly have a corresponding German word for them. For example, toaster. In German, the appliance would actually be called a bread toaster and a toast was originally a so-called "Bähschnitte". I had never heard either term in use in any area where German is spoken. A toast is also a toast in our country and is prepared in a toaster. Everyone understands what is meant by it. I think it's nice when such terms from specific languages or regions find their way into other languages and their usage. Somehow this special, particular thing is preserved. That's how it should be with us humans too: no standardisation or transfer of one's own into a whole with the loss of the individual, but rather preservation of the special, peculiar. Yours too.
