We humans are sometimes strange creatures. On the one hand, we want a lot of security, predictability, clarity, etc. We appreciate clear rules, depending on the type of person we are, we are keen to ensure that agreements are adhered to very precisely and, especially in the West, we are very influenced by state laws, regulations etc. and rely on the punctuality of public transport. Woe betide us... on the other hand, we are also the ones who stand on the beach at the end of the day or in the mountains and watch the sun go down and give free rein to our longing for something we cannot put into words in the vastness and infinity. There is the order that gives us security and there are the longings that lead us into the vastness. They are roots and wings at the same time. It is a transcendent mixture of the inexplicable and yet so familiar. Or it is the unmistakable indication that we are conceived from eternity and destined for it.
