I learnt the 10-finger system on a typewriter. However, it was already an electric and not just a mechanical one. The further development was the computer - which offered or still offers far more than just the possibility of word processing. But would the computer as we know it today exist without the typewriter? I suspect not. The typewriter was certainly the inspiration for at least the design of the computer, even if it was only for the keyboard. In the future, we may only be able to control such devices using speech or eye gestures or even brain waves and thoughts. So was the typewriter in vain because it only had a short lifespan? I think not. It was important throughout the development process. That also applies to you. You are important for this time in your environment because you leave your mark and leave traces. Without you, the future would be different. You are important, you count - especially in the new year! Therefore: Have a blessed and happy new year!
