Description

I recently met a professional colleague who told me he worked in the Black Forest. It was immediately clear to me where that was. On further reflection, however, it struck me: we both knew that the term Black Forest referred to a certain area. So we could assume that we both knew what was meant. Literally, however, it would be easy for someone unfamiliar with the term to assume that the colleague was a forester. Our language is always fascinating to me: it is often imprecise in itself and yet we understand each other in most cases. How magnificently the system of language and interpretation works. We can use language to express more than just the visible - we can also describe feelings, moods, etc. Reason enough to pause for a moment, to marvel at this and to enter into the next dialogue with gratitude and amazement. Maybe just today.

I wish you an extraordinary day!
