Description

I don't know anyone who likes to wait. Waiting is unpopular because it makes it clear that you are dependent on something or someone. That's not a good feeling. I can think of moments when I had to wait in the cold for a train that was delayed indefinitely. When we talk about waiting, we quickly move on to expectation. We probably all have some kind of expectation of ourselves, others, the state, the church and so on. These are sometimes painfully disappointed. Would it therefore be better to be so autonomous that I have no expectations and therefore no potential pain? Perhaps. But it would also be a poorer life. How nice if you can still wait and then savour the moment it arrives. In a letter to the church in Rome, St Paul writes that the whole of creation is waiting for its final redemption. So this is only the penultimate - the best is yet to come. A nice perspective for waiting.

I wish you an extraordinary day!
