Surely you have already met people who do something you would like to be able to do with such ease that it makes you envious - in a positive sense. Why do they do it so easily and I have such a hard time doing it or will never reach their level? When I watch birds, I feel the same way: with what ease they fly, knowing exactly how to use their wings - whether to fly actively or simply to glide. Enviable. But the wings are not only for flying - they also serve as protection. Parents can cover their offspring with their wings for protection, and in this proximity the young can feel the warmth of the parent and their heartbeat at the same time. How soothing this must be for the young. Jesus once said that this is exactly what God wants to do: gather people under his wings and give them this closeness. Are you ready for this?
