In the Old Testament in Psalm 103, King David exhorts himself to honour God because He makes him joyful and his youth is constantly renewed like an eagle. The image of the eagle touched me. Supposedly, the allegory means that just as the eagle's feathers are always renewed, so God always renews one's youth - but how and why? David sees the reason for this process in one's own behaviour or attitude. Namely, the one he mentions at the beginning of his text. It is the call to honour God, to show gratitude to him, or as he calls it: to praise God. We often praise others for a deed, an achievement, an ability or a quality. This is also the case here: Praise to God is for the fact that he renews our lives again and again, and that through and thanks to him we always receive new energy and strength for the challenges of our lives. Is this also the case for you?
I wish you an extraordinary day!
