So, if you know anything about me, you know I love me some Persona. In 2006-2008, I was starting to feel burnout from Final Fantasy constantly changing and morphing into, whatever XII was. So along came a little known cult classic. Then another one, then another ten years go by and THIS game unseats FFVI as my favorite game of all time. Persona isn't for everyone. But what I will say is this game is distilled anime JRPG/visual novel greatness in a game. It is everything I wanted FF (and many other games, let's be fair) to be in a market that was starting to veer from the old school goodness for different reasons. But hey, this is the kind of game I wanted, and P5/P5R was EXACTLY my type of game. Sure, it's not for everyone, but everyone should at least give this one a chance.
It was bound to happen eventually. The long, LONG playthrough of Persona 5 Royal has finished. If you haven't checked it out, please do so.
