This week's episode is an RPG institution: Final Fantasy IV. Whenever anyone asks, "what is the best way to get into FF," this is the best answer for anyone looking for that full retro aesthetic. The first to feature the Active Time Battle System, fully fleshed out characters (Rydia best girl), great dramatic moments, and a decent story, FFIV is my choice for the origin of the franchise's golden age. It is not without some issues, but those are balanced out by a game that does everything well enough, you'd only care if you're fishing for the issues. I also spend time talking about FFIV: The After Years...but the less said about it, the better. So I don't bother much.
