I am human. I cry, feel sad, get depressed, and hurt. Sounds real depressing, I know. But all to say, going to the gym has really develop better ways of dealing with mental, emotion, and psychological stress. I really feel like I am in control of myself. I don't let my conscious dictate my doubtful judgements.
So, go to the gym. There's more benefits to it other than demanding nutritional value in your diet, better control of emotions, and post-workout better mindset. Try it out!
I just hope you become a gym rat like me where I can claim that the gym is my sanctuary!
