I'm delighted to share this episode in honor of Global Wellness Day 2022.  BELGIN AKSOY, THE FOUNDER OF GLOBAL WELLNESS DAY from ISTANBUL, TURKEY believes that living well is a necessity for every human being on the planet - 7.9 BILLION PEOPLE and we agree! In 2012, she asked herself a question, “Health is one of the most important issues of our lives, so why do we still not have a special day dedicated to living well?” And in response to her own inner reflection, she launched GLOBAL WELLNESS DAY - an entirely not-for-profit day dedicated to living well, celebrated on the second Saturday of June every year. 

WELLNESS WORLD USA™ was joined by guests from Emerson College, Boston, MA and Harvard University, Cambridge, MA to friends in Mexico and Costa Rica, to California and friends from China and India joined too- it was truly a global celebration of wellness and selfcare. We concluded with sharing the following hashtags:

P.S.  The GLOBAL WELLNESS DAY 7 STEP MANIFEST includes the following 7 steps - they are meant to be for everyone regardless of one’s socio-economic background. They are intended to build bridges to further health and wellness communication, education, and understanding. 

Walk for an hour.

Drink more water.

Don’t use plastic bottles.

Eat healthy food.

Do a good deed.

Have a family dinner with your loved ones.

Sleep at 10:00 pm.

Our philosophy is that true selfcare relies on utilizing all four pillars of a healthy lifestyle: exercise, nutrition, rest/healing, and mindfulness/meditation. This is our formula for health, happiness and longevity. When these four pillars are in alignment, we achieve harmony and equilibrium.
