Today I speak with Daniel Dawoud a Personal Trainer from Wigan who was born with a condition called Osteogenisis Imperfecta Type 2 or more commonly known as Brittle Bones.
Over the course of Daniel’s life he has had in excess of 300+ fractures. The most common ones being in his tibia’s, fibula’s, Femur’s, Radius, Ulna and Humerus.
It’s amazing to see Daniel’s determination not only as a coach but as an athlete. Daniel has played a verity of wheel chair based sports such as, Rugby, Basketball, Tennis and Table Top Cricket.
Daniel is a rare breed who is extremely passionate about his craft and aims to bridge the gap between disability and ability and create an inclusive environment for everyone to thrive in.
I was really looking forward to our conversations and wasn't left disappointed as Daniels motivation and passion for sport and fitness is infectious.
I hope you enjoy our conversation.
