Purpose of Design is so exciting to introduce to you Dr. Chris Leininger from Indiana. He has a lot of wisdom to share that can, has and will change many lives so stay tuned! He is a genius in acupuncture and has studied chinese medicine with upwards 20 years of clinical experience.
This is Part 1 of 2 and it’s truly knowledge-packed. Doctor Chris talks about how he has evidence-informed practice meaning just because a study is published - that does not mean it is actually the best course of action. He talks about paying attention to what really works, and is adamant that the body truly is mapped out with design. Chinese medicine traditionally uses internal medicine and treats everything with herbs. There are doses just like western medicine that he touches on. He gives an example of how the simple dandelion has over 50 traditional purposes!
Doctor Chris talks about becoming ill and having to stop a high paying job as a commercial airline mechanic and how he tried everything but nothing worked - symptoms were still there. It got so bad his wife who had been home taking care of the kids had to go back to work as he was not suited to do so. No one could tell him what was going on. He touches on what turned things around and how that was the best, bad thing that ever happened to him as it led him to where he is now.
In this incredibly electrifying interview - Doctor Chris goes on about how we need to ensure we have a doctor who is humble and cares as any diagnosis starts with active listening on the doctor’s part. He also touches on self-healing capabilities which is a gift from the Lord and the difference between acupuncture versus acupressure!
Follow the seasons - with your foods, with your activity levels and your sleep. The Chinese fully believe that we need to cater to the seasons and what they are telling us. For example - having iced tea in the dead of winter. Follow your sleep - when the sun rises early - that’s a better time of year to get up early. When the sun goes down early - that is a more effective time to go to bed early.
This is an incredible Part 1 - Please SHARE!
