In the words of Hank Pym from Marvel's Ant Man, "Yes, I'm still alive". After an unexpected hiatus, I'm back on the podcast with my very good friend Bella. She and I have a great conversation about our home, Appalachia: our love for the region, its history, its culture, and the wonderful people who call it home. We discuss some of the challenges confronting Appalachia, and how we feel that those challenges can best be addressed. Also—as is the right of passage for podcasts such as these—we finally get into the controversy surrounding Ohio Senate candidate and hillbilly wannabe, J.D. Vance, and the *horrible* book that he wrote. This is just a great episode from start to finish, and I hope y'all enjoy!
