Listen

Description

Clinical care involves input from many different health professions, so why don’t more care teams practice together? This week we talk about challenges and opportunities of interprofessional simulation with Dr. Hannah Fischer, MD, who is Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Neonatal Medicine at The University of Louisville School of Medicine and Adam Hall, RDH, MS, who is Assistant Professor of Dental Hygiene at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Hannah and Adam describe an innovative way to simulate patient care with different healthcare teams using the social e-reader Perusall, which addresses the common barrier of gathering interprofessional teams at the same time and place. Listeners can sign up for Perusall, join our HPE Journal Club on Perusall, and learn more about UofL’s Leadership and Innovation in Academics Matter (LIAM) program.
