Why is it The Odyssey such a fascinating read that seems to stand the test of time?
As noted in the episode, I have used research for my discussion. One important one that I describe in the video comes from the In Our Time podcast that I will link to here. It is also where I got the example of comparing Achilles's line from The Iliad ("I hate that man like the very Gates of Death who says one thing but hides another in his heart") with Odysseus who is precisely that man.
