So much so that in fact, one can try to hasten the process or even avoid it altogether... We just don't like it when we don't know how long something uncomfortable will last, do we? And if Loss has not been a part of your life, well, it will be at some point, so we all benefit from learning how to deal with it better. But not just for ourselves, and also how to be a better support and anchor for someone going through the process, so that our discomfort doesn't increase their pain...
This is Reality Check, where we discuss important topics and concepts that form the foundation of our lives, and yet need to be contemplated so that perspectives may open the way to fresh new takes and hopefully help us deal with that nagging feeling of being stuck. Facts matter for sure, but equally or even more importantly, we want to put all options on the table and relate openly about what we may have missed as a result of our unescapable biases and other horse blinders. This is a place where we revisit what we thought we understood or knew, in order to spark new growth.
