At the end of Revelations there is a tremendous conclusion "And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let him who hears say, Come! And let him who is thirsty come; let him who wills take the water of life freely." (Revelation 22:17). To appreciate this we have to remember what was said in the first three chapters. Jesus is walking amongst the churches exposing their lack. In short they were lacking Him. They had sought to add something else to the church. Something of the world, some false teaching, some religious form, or they had just subtracted Him. He was no longer the chief love or He was bottled up and they needed to answer the door and let Him come into the church. We certainly see this in churches today trying to be more relevant or more woke and add some thing, take away something rather than just simply Christ. Saints, Christ is enough for the church. Remember He also said to those churches in chapters 2 and 3 “he that has an ear let them hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches”. Now fast forward to Revelation 22 : 17. The Spirit and the bride say Come! Finally after having revelation the bride and the Spirit are one! Do you realize and see that the church is just Christ.? Would you agree that Christ is sufficient for the church. Nothing else is needed. The church is Christ! It is Christ plus nothing! May we agree with the Spirit and say one simple word. Come! When this word of Revelation awakens a portion of the bride other believers will see, hear their cry and join in and also say, Come! Not only that, but unbelievers will see such a testimony that they will hear this as a invitation to come and drink of this Living Water. This means that they see something in the church. What they see is the church enjoying and drinking this Christ as their all and in all and they desire this living water. Oh Lord Jesus come! I trust this book of Revelation has revealed to us that He is all the world needs, that the Messiah/Jesus is who Israel needs, and of certainly He is all that the church needs. Amen!
