Description

Here are some tremendous verses that are referred to in this episode. We know Daniel, his 3 brothers and eventualy, many of the Jewish captives were influenced by these prophetic words: At the dedication of the temple Solomon said, “When they pray toward this place and confess Your name and turn from their sin when You afflict them; Then hear in the heavens, and forgive the sin of Your people Israel, and bring them back to the land which You gave to their fathers. When Your people Israel are defeated before an enemy because they have sinned against You, and they turn to You and confess Your name and pray and make supplication to You in this house;…whatever prayer, whatever supplication, which will be made by any man of all Your people Israel, when he spreads out his hands toward this house;… if their enemy besieges them in the land of their cities, whatever plague, whatever sickness there is …whatever prayer, whatever supplication, which will be made by any man of all Your people Israel, each knowing the plague of his own heart, when he spreads out his hands toward this house; Then hear in the heavens Your dwelling place, and forgive and act and render to each man according to all his ways, whose heart You know; for You, You alone know the hearts of all the children of men;" (1 Kings 8) Then Jeremiah prophesied, “this whole land will become a desolation and a waste, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years." (Jeremiah 25:11) “Daniel, understood by means of the Scriptures the number of the years, which came as the word of Jehovah to Jeremiah the prophet, for the completion of the desolations of Jerusalem, that is, seventy years." (Daniel 9:2). And Isaiah prophesied to King Hezekiah, "The days are now coming when everything that is in your house and that your fathers have laid up as a treasure unto this day will be carried away to Babylon; nothing will be left, says Jehovah. And they will take away some of your sons who will issue from you, whom you will beget, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon." (2 Kings 20:17-18). Daniel knew of the prophetic word in his day. Do you know the prophetic word of God in these days? Is this prophetic word influencing your life? If not get into the word found in Revelation. It begins with: "Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy and keep the things written in it, for the time is near." (Revelation 1:3). It ends with : "And behold, I come quickly. Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this scroll." (Revelation 22:7) These two verses tell us that we need to allow this book to saturate our lives. Do not leave it to the preachers and teachers to extol this word! Get out of that realm! This indicates in order to have a blessed life in these last days we must be such a one like Daniel who not only believed, but lived a life controlled by his faith in the prophetic word of God!
