Listen

Description

Obedience is hard even for adults. It’s the main instruction for children. The Word “0bey” literally means to listen intently, to put your hands not just around your ears but around your heart and really strain to find out what your parents desire. May we realize that this isn’t just a law it is a matter of life. It is the greatest opportunity that a Christian has to share the gospel with another human being. Parents bringing their children to Jesus. Don’t Get frustrated with all of your attempts to get them to follow your instruction, instead look at them as another opportunity to tell them the significance of having Christ as their life. 1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 "Honor your father and mother" (this is the first commandment with a promise),
3 "that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land."
4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:1, ESV) 23 Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith would be revealed.
24 So then, the law was our tutor until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith.
25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor,
26 for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. (Galatians 3:23, ESV)
