Description

Christ is the glory of God. ”Who, being the effulgence of His glory and the impress of His substance and upholding and bearing all things by the word of His power, having made purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;" (Hebrews 1:3) "And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us (and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only Begotten from the Father), full of grace and reality." (John 1:14) When Jesus left the temple in Matthew 24:1, the glory of God was departing. This was revelation that we all need to see regarding the kingdom of heaven. The disciples struggled, and sought to distract Jesus with the glory of the temple buildings, but if we are going to enjoy the kingdom of heaven, we must leave religion behind. This is what it means to say that entrance into the kingdom of heaven is a narrow gate or a restricted way. We like religion because it offers us Christianity plus the world. The kingdom of heaven is not in that realm. We need this kind of revelation, and when we see the kingdom of heaven the Lord is able to open up to us a fresh understanding of things in last days.
