Description

“I know your works, that you have a name that you are living, and yet you are dead." (Revelation 3:1) evidently the church of Sardis had a reputation that was known in the city, it wasn’t that they were following false teachings, or that they loved the world, that they were idolatrous, or that they were losing their best love. They no doubt received the apostolic teachings and formed a church, and they were probably right in their teaching, but they were dead in their rightness. The Lord told them to complete what was started in them. (vs 2) and to "Remember therefore how you have received and heard, and keep it and repent." (Revelation 3:3). Come out of your “defiled” grave clothes and put on the white resurrection clothes of Christ. Enjoy Him as your life. This is the church. We have so many denominations and traditions and groups in these Last days. The church is just Christ, no other name, Just Jesus, no more and no less. Just stand on that ground. May He be our identification and our life that we enjoy.
