This week we’re watching the low-budget teen indie comedy that charmed the world in the halcyon days of 2004. It also happens to be set in that year, even though you wouldn’t be able to tell that since it looks stuck in the past. And yet we’ve got a lot to say about movies from the future, including the newest from Christopher Nolan, Greta Gerwig, and the Avatar franchise - and riff on the dumbest Turning Red hot take of all time.
(Also, we mention the possibility of John C. Reilly being one of the many, MANY stars of Oppenheimer, and while that may not happen, I found out after recording that he’ll be in the Cannes-bound The Stars at Noon along with actual Oppenheimer star Benny Safdie!)
