This weekend we saw West Ham chip away Chelsea’s lead of the league, Leeds and Brentford see out a draw amid a host of absent players for both - and Villa vindicate their quality as Leciester lose in a Midlands Derby. Around the grounds in Europe, Bayern defeat Dortmund, with an asterisk on the game, more to come on that. Napoli narrowly lose the league lead to an audacious Atalanta. And Lastly! Some disdain for the Ballon d‘Or from some Americans that thought Messi might maybe have missed the mark for a marvelous year.
