Dave Lapham, former professional offensive lineman in the NFL and current radio color commentator for the Cincinnati Bengals, joins The Sidelines to kick off Season 2. Dave is a native of Massachusetts and played college football for Syracuse University before being drafted in the 3rd Round of the 1974 NFL Draft. His playing days are highlighted by appearing in Super XVI against the San Francisco 49ers, and the 1981 AFC Championship against the San Diego Chargers - better known as the "Freezer Bowl" where game-time temperatures were well-below freezing. Along with discussing his playing career, the guys and Dave talk about his authentic passion and fandom that comes through clearly on the radio. This unmatched energy seems to be a theme throughout everything "Lap" pursues in his life, including his appreciation for the coaching profession, his love of all sports and most importantly, his wife and kids.
