Hello and welcome to the very first episode of the Leadership Log where we talk about navigating everyday leadership.

In  this episode we are talking to Evelyn Prodger about Managing Difficult Conversations,

Evelyn is a Registered Nurse with an extensive history of working in Community Hospitals and managing community services. She is currently the Clinical Services Director at St Michael’s Hospice (Hastings and Rother). She feels very privileged to be a Queens Nurse. She is also an active Committee Member of the Community Hospitals Association  with a lead for Quality Improvement and overseeing the Innovation and Best Practice Awards.

She is a Q community member an is currently the Project Lead for a  Q Exchange Project that is looking at Embedding Covid-19 positive impact changes through shared learning. She recently completed the Hospice UK Strategic Leadership programme, and describes herself as having a real love of lifelong learning, people development and all things QI.

Evelyn and Becky talk about why its important that we don't shy away from having difficult conversations and offer some advice on how you might structure difficult conversations. Evelyn shares here experiences of difficult conversations and provides some useful insights into the skills that can help.
