Welcome to another episode of the Scholar Spotlight Sessions In these episodes we talk to past and present Florence Nightingale Foundation scholars and chat about why they wanted to be scholars and their leadership journey Lana is a qualified registered nurse and midwife with 21 years’ experience in the health sector. She has gained a wide range of experiences in the NHS, community setting, private sector and in the USA. Over the last eight years Lana has gained experience within the clinical governance team as a specialist midwife for audits, guidelines, risk management and currently work as Maternity Risk Manager in the NHS Lana successfully launched the first Breastfeeding Group called Breast is Best at the Linden Children’s Centre in Hackney. She is also a member of the Trinidad & Tobago Nurses Association, member of the Trinidad & Tobago Healthcare United Kingdom Forum and co-director for Heartfelt Philanthropy Network In 2020, she received the Chief Nurse Gold Award for her contribution and dedication to maternity risk management at her trust.
