Omar is an Associate Vice President at public relations firm in New York City with a wide range of experience in communications and crisis response in city government and emergency management. He has served as Press Secretary in New York City where he helped coordinate responses to emergencies including building collapses, hurricanes, and winter storms. He led external-facing health and emergency preparedness initiatives, and acted as Creative Director for public service announcements featuring Broadway actors, government officials, and professional sports teams.
Earlier in his career, Omar worked for a local broadcast news station in New York City. He’s a stalwart communicator, and hosts The Bourne Connect podcast, a show aimed to inspire listeners through sharing the stories of every day people. We all can make a difference in other’s lives through our personal experiences. The Bourne Connect gives us all that opportunity.
