Description

In the last few episodes, we’ve looked at the person and work of God the Spirit and, in today’s episode, we are beginning a survey of how God has worked from eternity past, and is working into eternity future, to reconcile a chosen people to Himself through the atoning work of Christ on the cross.

A discussion on salvation: examining the way that God applies our salvation in our individual lives.

Order of Salvation

  3. Regeneration (being born again)
  4. Conversion (faith and repentance)
  5. Justification (right legal standing; righteousness of Christ imputed)
  6. Adoption (membership in God’s family)
  7. Sanctification (growth in obedience and knowledge; increased conformity to Christ)
  8. Perseverance (continuing in the faith; abiding in Christ)
  9. Death (going to be with the Lord)
  10. Glorification (receiving a resurrection body)

1) Election: “an act of God before creation in which he chooses some people to be saved, not on account of any foreseen merit in them or because of their foreseen faith or goodness, but only because of His sovereign good pleasure.” Acts 13:48; Ephesians 1:4-5; I Thessalonians 1:4-5; 2 Thess. 2:13

2) The Gospel Call (invitation): no one would be saved without someone sharing the Gospel with someone, they cannot be saved - Romans 10:14
