So tell me, what is the difference between being single during the holiday and being single any other time of the year?
You are not a leper, pitiful, less-than, or an old maid. You are who you are…right now…for such a time as this!
You’re single, period. You don’t have an interminable disease, but you do have to stop looking at other people’s lives and comparing them to yours. Remember, things are not always the way they seem. Not every smiling couple is happy. Truth be told, some married couples wish they were single.
Just think…as long as you dread being single…that will be what’s foremost on your mind. Don’t confuse being single with being lonely. You can be happily single and still have a fabulous social life. So as long as you go around sadly Single, you’re wasting valuable time. Get the most out of being single, explore yourself, learn new skills, and meet different people. Stop wasting time because time is precious. What if you get to the end of your life and have wasted all of the gifts God has given YOU? The people’s lives you were meant to touch won’t get what only YOU can give them.
