Listen

Description

Today’s episode involves something most people do. Many do this unknowingly but seem not to be able to stop doing it. I’ll bet even you do it. Listen to these case studies.

-Janet was sitting at her desk at work entering invoices into the Sales Force system when she happened to look up and see her co-workers in a huddle talking quietly. Occasionally, one would look over at her then quickly turn back to the conversation. She wondered what was going on. Why was she left out? Were they talking about her?

-Sean’s boss had just yelled at him for reasons unknown to Sean. He didn’t understand what was going on with his
boss, but he was not enjoying what was going on.

-Shannon’s husband was caught in the act. She was steaming mad.

-Jordan was bullied all throughout the seventh grade. Years later, he suffered from PTSD.

What do Janet, Sean, Shannon, and Jordan all have in common? They each took their situations personally.
