Listen

Description

This week we speak with Monique J. Fortuné. While Monique wears a ton of hats, she really is good at finding space in her busy life for rest and spiritual self care. We talk about how she finds this balance, the revolutionary act of self care and the concept of self literacy. We also touch on why it is so important to care for self while doing the work of healing community.

46    Deus noster refugium 1God is our refuge and strength, *
    a very present help in trouble.
2Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be moved, *
    and though the mountains be toppled into the depths of the sea;
3Though its waters rage and foam, *
    and though the mountains tremble at its tumult.
4The LORD of hosts is with us; *
    the God of Jacob is our stronghold.
