Welcome to Episode 2 - In this episode I speak to the familiar ways we’re used to setting goals and the sneaky limits these methods place on us so we can dream bigger than we ever have before, creating true vision for our lives, and set goals without limits.
“We’ve been taught that if we want something else then we must dislike what we have right now. This is not true. All these different, opposite, contrasting experiences can actually make each other more enjoyable. So, how do we stay grateful for what we have AND desire more?”
“All of these goals setting and dreaming methods can work. We allow them to limit us if we choose just one of them. And then focus on the things that we come up with having to be the things we achieve, rather than a whole smorgasbord of possibilities that we get to explore.”
“Just because there’s a next level doesn’t mean that you want it in your life. If you started running and want to set a bigger running goal it’s easy to think I should run a 10k, I should run a marathon. But what if you don’t want to? What if you want to be able to run around your local park or hike up the top of a few local places with your family?”
