Description

**TW** If you struggle with paranoia, dissociation, or other stuff where you question reality a lot this episode may be triggering for you.

🎶I was born in layers of soil.

You can hide behind the weight of all the world

but your voice has been missing for too long!🎶

Thank you Faye West! Musician, obtainer of cider, and fellow mushroom appreciator <3 (I was going to say procurer of cider but upon spellcheck, google informed me that 'procurer' is exclusively for Madams etc. Who knew?!). Anyway you are the manifestation of a faerie garden and I'm so grateful for your skills and friendship!

Today we go deep! (Not just in discussions of body-cavities, although that too.) We begin by following Hieronymus Bosch through fields where wolves disembowel peasants and lakes of ice-skating demons. After discussing three major works, we jump a few centuries and discuss several artists and how the LINE-OF-SIGHT in a work of art is a tremendously powerful and subtle way to instill knowledge in the viewer. We end in a discussion of literary devices, types of monsters, eldritch abominations, and a delightful mental-health spiral. But as I say, "I had a lovely melt-down and a lovely chat with my therapist" so no worries. Hope you enjoy! I had a lot of fun in the making of this episode.
