Bernadette defines success as living her truth and doing what she needs for self-fulfillment. Bernadette realized that she was living her life based on what others wanted for her and not what she wanted for herself. She was making decisions based on the wrong motives; doing what others expected of her in hopes of yielding power, position and prosperity. This realization prompted Bernadette to adopt a "self-ish" mentality in order to live a life that was fulfilling according to her own standards. As she says,"I lived by putting on masks, for hiding all of my fears and insecurities."
After working in the corporate world for 12 years and being fired, Bernadette quickly realized that she needed to figure out what she wanted in life and not what everyone else wanted. The negatives that Bernadette experienced motivated her to write her book, Shedding the Corporate Bitch.
Join me as Bernadette shares her experiences in overcoming several huge transitions in her life, and fighting the battle of overcoming everyone else's expectations and living a complete and truthful life according to her own standards and not everyone else's.
