Our guest on this episode is Dr Amanda Reiman PHD. She is currently the VP of Community Development at Flow Kana, a California cannabis pharmacy brand. The CEO & Founder of Personal Plants, and a board member of the Mendocino County Fire Safe Council.
After receiving her PHD from U.C. Berkeley, Dr Reiman became the Director of Research and Patient Services at Berkeley Patients Group, one of the oldest dispensaries in the country, and the manager of Marijuana Law and Policy for the national nonprofit, Drug Policy Alliance.
An internationally recognized cannabis expert and public health researcher, she taught courses on substance abuse treatment and drug policy at U.C. Berkeley. Dr Reiman was the first chairwoman of the Berkeley Medical Cannabis Commission and also sat on the Oakland Cannabis Regulatory Commission.
They discuss everything from the politics to activism, to the science and the medicinal properties of cannabis.
