The opening harmonies under FDR was a memory of a tune I heard, Spirited Away, tiger stripes. And I merged it as I would if I were dj-ing with Lipps, FunkyTown, and the toot (sweets) and heys of Donna Summer's Bad Girls. As an artist, I am also a DJ. Sometimes though, the tunes and melodies from the tracks get embedded in my waking consciousness, and I have to hum or sing or incorporate them in the beat of living to find balance and resonance. It's cathartic. And over my six decades confined to this spinning mudball, I have found it impossible to tell the story without them.
Please know with confidence that I will always give the credits when applicable to the moment or as I become more aware. I am learning to be always open to hearing. It, all of it, is a lot of work.
