Interview with the father whose daughter has been murdered, the man who has dedicated himself in protecting women against violence; his name is John Herron.
"John Herron is one of the bravest people you'll ever meet. He's not only a grieving father – he's a #fighter.
On one fateful day in May 2019, Mr Herron – who is a lawyer by trade – received a knock on the door from #homicide detectives.
He let them in, thinking it was something to do with his work. "And then they said, 'there's no easy way to tell you – but your daughter's been #murdered,'" Mr Herron said.
"Courtney's body was covered by a sheet and all I could do is touch her foot on the sheet."
