You suddenly needed to accept that everything you were seeing had become normal.
But it was not normal.
I saw men crying, women weeping and children running in a circle as they'd been deafened by the shelling.
I knew that the only thing I had was myself.
I knew I needed to adapt, and it was down to me to do it.
Whatever was coming , it was coming.
Dozens of people suffered the ultimate fate that night, even the old lady praying with her rosaries.
You can't adjust yourself overnight to these events.
You just can't.
