Benefits to regular exercise….is well-being!
Exercise is defined as any kind of movement that makes your #muscles move and work which then requires your body to burn #calories.
There are many different types of physical activity, including swimming, running, jogging, walking, and dancing, and my favourite of all boxing.
Have you ever noticed that you feel happier after exercising. It may have been a challenge to get started to turn up and be present at a gym, walking, dance lesson, to jump in the pool for a swim, and be in the boxing ring.
Exercise has been proven to improve our mood and decrease those unpleasant feelings of low mood, depression, #anxiety, and stress.
Exercise assists to produce the changes in parts of our brain that regulate stress and anxiety and helping to increase brain sensitivity to the hormones ‘serotonin and norepinephrine’, which relieve feelings of low mood & depression.
Exercise can increase the production of endorphins, which help produce positive feelings and reduce our perception of pain.
Does it matter how intense your workout is?
Exercise can benefit our mood no matter the intensity of the physical activity.
We can all benefit just from daily walking alone.
Try walking to your local shops to pick up milk and bread.
Walk to your closest park.
Where you can walk to an appointment, I dare you to give it a go.
The effects of exercise on our mood are powerful so, by you today deciding to take a step in the right direction it will make a difference over short periods of time.
And as you continue to enhance your exercise routine this flowing difference will grow.
The positive well-being of on-going healthy choices to invest in you, my friends.
Now I double dare you.
