In week 1 of “The Mount” based on The Sermon on the Mount from Matthew 5-7, we start with Matthew 5:1-12. In these opening verses of Jesus’ influential sermon, he deals with the question: “What is the good life?” Is it health, wealth, being liked, having lots of discretionary time? Or, is it something else? Jesus’ answer may surprise you. The good life comes through a right relationship to God and right responses to grace.
