This week on The Marvelous Middle Age Podcast I’m speaking with Susie Winkowski.
Susie is a wife, a mother to two grown children and has four grandchildren. She has been caring for her husband for the past ten years after his diagnosis of dementia.
In this episode Susie talks about advocating for loved ones with dementia, how they can continue to be part of our communities and how important it is to include those with dementia in gatherings and events. Susie shares how connection and purpose have helped her in her caregiving journey, as she recently joined the team with Dementia Friendly Linn County.
If you would like to become involved with Dementia Friendly Linn County or Dementia Friendly America please see the show notes for more information.
