Description

This week on The Marvelous Middle Age Podcast I’m speaking with Tom Brennom.

Tom and his wife Pat have been married for 57 years, have two grown children and four grandchildren.  He has served as a community volunteer since retiring from his engineering career.

Tom cares for his wife, who has dementia.  In this episode Tom shares caregiving from a husband’s perspective and how he has found fellowship and support through the men’s caregiver coffee support groups he leads.  He offers that there is still a lot of joy to be had in caregiving, even when circumstances are challenging.

In this episode Tom also provides a wealth of resources to help caregivers.  Be sure to check out the show notes for a great reading list and more.
