Season 1 Episode 4 "Check & Connect"
In this episode Ashley talks with Emily Bland and Maria Morris about Check & Connect and how it's used in BCS. Check & Connect is an intervention used with PK-12 students who show warning signs of disengagement with school and who are at risk of dropping out. This intervention and mentoring program is centered around building trusting relationships between the students and caring, trained mentors who both advocate for and challenges the student to keep education as a priority.
