Dave Matter of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch is the FWAA's Steve Ellis Beat Writer of the Year. Grace Raynor of The Athletic is the Edward Aschoff Rising Star Award winner. These two fine writers give perspective on their respective careers and the teams they cover. Dave talks about his 20 years covering Missouri, where just about anything can happen. He also now teaches on campus and lends his expertise to aspiring journalists for one of the nation's best journalism programs in Mizzou. Grace witnessed N.C. State's upset of Clemson that dropped the Tigers to 2-2 and earned the Wolfpack the Cheez-It Bowl National Team of the Week honor. With Clemson now 2-2, the ACC might have a different look this season. In addition to breaking down the Tigers and the ACC, Grace shares personal thoughts about the path that her career has taken as she covers one of the nation's elite football programs for a fifth season.
