Description

In honor of Black History Month and Women’s History Month, we are starting our “HERstory” series! “HERstory” aims to amplify the narratives of young Black women and girls who are catalyzing change in their communities. Our goal is to celebrate the strides of these young trailblazers and use their stories to inspire others to become a force of positive social change. Our first guest for "HERstory" is Madison Garrett!

Madison Garrett is a 17-year old changemaker in her community. Dedicated to raising awareness, Madison uses her voice to create an impact for those who are underserved and unheard. When she is not creating a documentary centering the neglected, creating a presentation on societal issues for her founded Black student club, or serving those around her as a Girl Scout and President of the National Council of Negro Women, Madison can be spotted simply reading the philosophies of greats like DuBois.

Tune in to hear us discuss Black mental health, turning passion into purpose, college applications, and more!
