Description

As the final week of the Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard trial approaches, I am joined by Lauren to talk about the implications that Amber's treatment in the public eye has for all survivors. Whatever you feel about Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, there is simply no "right" way to be a victim. You can never know how you will react until you are in that situation, and each survivor has a different story and a different coping strategy. In this episode, I share what my survival mechanisms were when my attacker began to stalk me. This was difficult one for me to record because some of what I did is exactly what people are criticizing Amber for —  which just goes to show how online comments about the case are causing actual damage to survivors around the globe.
